Master Bedroom reveal

I realized the other day that I left you guys hanging when it came to the Master Bedroom. I never did post pics of the whole room for you to see.  So here it is, our room, finished (for now.)

Here's looking at the whole room from the bathroom.

Here's the view from the vanity table area.  We refinished the dresser, hung our TV and dressed up that shelf with vintage teal glass, my mirrored jewelry box, and a white mirror from a thrift store.

As a reminder here is what our bedroom looked like when we moved in.

Here is the same angle looking in from the hallway. As you recall, we sold the wooden bed on craigslist, after painting it white and DIY'd our headboard, bought new linens, DIY'd the turquoise mirror and lamp. And we bought new curtains from Bed Bath and Beyond.

This is the before shot of the corner with our tiny closet.

We maximized storage space in this area by having a vanity table, instead of that tiny end table with rocking chair that nobody sat in.  Now I have a space to apply makeup and do my hair. Plus it's used as a writing desk and holds our alarm clock and phone.   We also removed the closet door and added curtains to maximize space. You can read more about that here.  I made the framed art next to the closet.

We hung the letters You & Me above the bed. The white side table was painted by me a few years ago.

One last shot for you from my side of the bed.  The gray mirror on the yellow dresser was painted.  On the dresser from left to right: a vintage lamp found at an antique store in California, the DVD player with the cord cover behind it, two interior design books with a white frame from Home Goods on top, a white candle stick that used to be black that I painted, and the Beehive  print that I framed.

And as you may recall the whole room was painted by professionals in a color called "Stone White" by Glidden. Normally we do the painting ourselves, but couldn't pass up a $80 Living Social deal for a full room of paint.

Wew! We're glad the room is finally finished.  Now we can sit back and enjoy our our new space.
