Vintage Kitchen Rug

Our old kitchen rug had lots of white in it and as it turns out, white kitchen rugs are a big NO for a family that does all our cooking at home. I couldn't keep up with the cleaning of the old rug so I looked for something with more colors. I found this beautiful rug on Etsy from a seller called EarthToneRugs. I'm adding a link to it because I think they were a great seller!
Here are some key words in case you are looking for a similar rug:
10x3 Vintage Turkish Heriz Handknotted Caucasian Wool Runner Rug, 10’2” x 3’5”

I love the combination of Navy and pink, always have! It really adds much needed color to the otherwise white kitchen. This will change someday if we remodel!

The rug is definitely oversized and much bigger than our old rug.  It's thick and very soft underfoot. I added a felt rug pad so it doesn't shift around and also adds more coziness.

I will choose a vintage rug any day to a new mass produced rug. They are WAY better made and usually have years of life left in them. You can't beat the quality and the price.

Some of these house updates happened months ago, but I am getting around to finally blogging about them!
