DIY art

Changing things up in our daughter's room to Navy and Coral meant changing up some of the art work as well.  And since I had some DIY art that was easily changeable, I changed it.  I had three pieces of 12" x 12" plywood boards that I covered with new fabric and added new images. The three images came from my Pinterest boards (if you're wondering.)

Here we have a pretty coral fabric with an image of a girl holding a bunch of balloons. I love that the balloons are reds, baby blues, and pinks. Perfect!  I added some polka dot ribbon and vintage buttons.

This image of the pink and orange balloons is so pretty.  I placed it on a piece of scrap fabric I had left over and the navy and white fabric was left over from this project. I used my washi tape that was a very nice gift and some ric rac trim to highlight the top edges.

Lastly, this fabric was my Grandma's and tied perfectly into the room.  I found the image of the heart online and topped it off with some navy ribbon and white ric rac left over in my scraps.  I love when I can make three pieces of art with stuff I already had.   If you wondering, I used spray glue to adhere the fabric to the plywood and glue sticks to add the photos. For the ribbon and trim I used my hot glue gun. To hang them to the wall I used picture hooks directly mounted to the back.

Here is where they are hung in my daughter's room.  I had fun updating these boards for her.  She is enjoying them as well.

Have a great weekend!
