Bathroom towel storage

More bathroom updates! Yay!  Here we have our old towel holder. I wanted to try something different, so I took it down with my screw driver.  It left a nice little circle of old paint.

I tried hanging this piece of art with little hooks for towels.

But I decided that it was too much in terms of visual clutter and also the hooks just weren't cutting it in terms of holding towels. They were designed to hold necklaces I think and I thought I could get away with towels hanging there, but it just wasn't working.  Soooo, at Home Goods I found this brushed chrome towel holder. The old one was just chrome and frankly cheap looking. This one was nicer and heavier.  So up it went in the old place, even though we had to drill different holes since the old holes were slightly different. Boo.

Next time I'll fold the towel better when taking a picture. Oh well.  Do you think I should add some art to this wall or just leave it?  I feel like it needs something. But what?

Are there other options for towel holding?  Or art that compliments towel holders? Send me pics of your bathroom. I need inspiration.

There is really only so much you can with respect to towel storage in a small bathroom. I know. Here is a link to our small guest (kids) bathroom. It is set up nearly identical to yours. I opted for a towel ring and bar when I originally redid the bathroom 14 years ago when we bought the house. I have since change the large towel bar to 3 hooks. It's easier to deal with for a 15 y/o and an 8 y/o. Here is a link to our bathroom pics on pinterest: http://pinterest.com/robynsnestblog/small-bathroom-ideas/

Thanks Robyn! I like that you added some art above your towel bar. I'm keeping my eye out for something to hang there. Your bathroom looks great! :)

You know what I've used for towels? Counter top wine racks. Sounds lame I know but if you roll your hand towels up and push them in, it's so so cute.

Like that! I promise, it's cute.

Also, that's not the one I used. But one similar.
