Mail box fencing

Hello Monday Morning. It's nice to see you again. Monday morning for me means I get to relax after a busy weekend with the family and working on projects around the house. If anything it's a time to take a deep breath and look forward to the week ahead. Today we're getting our house pressure washed so we can gear it up for painting.  I'm so excited about it.  But this post is not about that, it's about my attempt at creating a little barrier between my mail box plants and all the dogs in the neighborhood who like to pee on them. Yes, that's right, my mail box seems to be every dog's favorite potty area.  And I'm sick of it.  Don't people see the flowers? I wouldn't pee on your flowers at your mail box, so your dog shouldn't be peeing on mine.  Here's a shot of my my mail box mums just starting to bloom.

And here's my little attempt at creating a barrier.  I got these little black powder coated fence pieces at Lowes for around $1.50 each. I bought three to cover the front and around the side.

So far it's working pretty well and I haven't seen any dogs try to step over it. I may add one more piece on the left so it creates more of a half circle. We'll see. For now this was an easy fix to a pretty irritating problem.

Sorry for the venting. Okay I'm done now.  Hope you have a great week!
