Instant Art - Audrey

When it comes to art in my home, I don't have a lot.  Most of my walls are either covered by windows or furniture. So in my hallway I created a little "art gallery" of sorts with photos or images that I love.  One thing I like to do on occasion is change them up a little bit so I have new things to look at and things don't get boring. One day while on the net, I found these two quotes by Audrey Hepburn.

This first one says "Happy girls are the prettiest."  So so true!

This one has words to live by. "For Beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."  I love this quote.

I printed each one on my color printer and cut them out with scissors to fit the frames.

Voila, instant art! I hung this one in the craft room, where my kids can eventually learn to read the letters and get the powerful message.

I reused an Ikea frame that was already in our hallway to frame the Happy girls print. I love the graphic font over the image of Audrey Hepburn. I also love the gray background with her orange-reddish blouse.  I think it's a sweet message for my daughter, once she too learns to read.

I love these little free updates to our hallway of art. Maybe some day down the line we'll invest in a better printer, but for now I'm loving the fact that we have a printer (thanks Carrie!) Carrie is my sister who bought us a printer for Joe's birthday. She is the best!
