Painted storage baskets

I'm finding myself looking at my old things thinking they all need a face lift!  I can't run out and buy new things all the time, even though I probably would if we had the cash. But it's good that I'm repurposing old things and giving new life to the things we already own.

Here are some baskets I've owned for quite some time. They have come in very handy for storing paperwork. One stores some files and the other stores our manuals that come with all of our gadgets.  But enough jibber jabber. Here are two of three that I own before the face lift.

I took out the liners, cleaned them up a bit and gave them a good 3-4 light coats of spray paint.

I used Valspar's The Perfect Finish in the color "Gloss Exotic Sea." You can find it here.

I love the way they look. Such a fun bright pop of color for the upcoming warm season.

The cost of the makeover for all three baskets - $5! Now that's not a budget breaker.
