Here was my inspiration photo seen here on Pinterest:
First I collected acorns from my yard. We have lots of trees, so this was pretty easy. Most of the caps had separated, so I used my hot glue gun and glued them back on. Then I spray painted my acorns with gray primer. I let them dry for 1 hour and then painted the acorns with calypso blue craft paint and the caps with silver metallic craft paint. Once they were dry I coated them with Mod Podge to seal and protect them.
Next I hot glued ribbons on each of them.
Then I hung them on some branches I found outside and placed it on my mantle.
Do you think it makes a nice Fall craft? For all the great entries you have to checkout Young House Love, Bower Power, Ana White & House of Earnest.
It was so much fun participating in the Pinterest Challenge! I hope to do this every year. It was so motivating to get crafty!
